We are enthusiastic photographers (www.pbase.com/bernd001).
We started this business in 2003 when we noticed that we had all these 35mm slides and photos/prints from the past that we wanted as digital images.
We therefore bought some equipment and converted them. We enjoyed the work on the digital images so much that we decided to make it a business and to help others as well.
Since then we have invested a lot of additional money into state-of-the-art quality equipment and software and we got deep into the field of digital imaging.
You therefore don't need to make the investment to get all the equipment necessary to convert photo slides to digital images.
The business took off extremely well and we have very nice growth since we started.
Now we get to enjoy dealing with so many nice and friendly folks that we can call our customers. If you want unfriendly and large company style service then search on, this isn't the place. If you want courteous, individual, and professional treatment then you are at the right place - many references are available to confirm this statement. Our customers are a nice mix of individuals, artist, galleries, companies, photographers, etc.
We have seen many digital conversion companies come and go. Most of them are publicly traded companies that have to make their "numbers" and therefore try to cut cost whereever they can. They do that by going to India, cutting corners, doing the absolute minimum during the conversion, disappointing customer service, etc. Most of them disappear over time.
We are a small private company and therefore don't have these constraints. We own the land, the building, and all the equipment. There is no overhead to support here and we are therefore able to provide so much more for the same price (or even less) than the competion charges.
We believe in giving back to the community and therefore donate to - Law Enforcement - The Nature Conservancy - PBS - NPR and we have adopted 1.5 miles of highway that we keep clean.
We are located north of Winston-Salem, NC in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. Just about 20 minutes north is the Virginia state line.
Do you like the "Andy Griffith Show"? Pilot Mountain is Mt.Pilot. Andy Griffith was born and grew up just about 15 minutes north from here in Mt.Airy. Mayberry in the show as the small town, Mt.Pilot is the big town. In reality Pilot Mountain is the small town but Mt.Airy is the large town - so people around here say that Pilot Mountain is the real Mayberry.
Make sure you stop and visit us when you are in the area. Visit our family farm. There is lots to see in this area and Snappy's lunch is right in downtown Mt.Airy. To Contact Us Click Below: Send Message |
