Price list for photo restoration:

The hourly rate is $40.  This includes material and the workstation. Since photo restoration highly depends on the condition of the image we decided to do it on an hourly basis vs. a price per image.  We will gladly provide a fixed price estimate for your image and will not charge S&H, etc. if you decide to go a different route.

This is an interesting field since it allows us to restore an old image to its original state or sometimes even better.  This works very well on images that have a color cast or need some other modifications done in order to look natural again.

The items that we are most often able to correct are:

• Strong color casts (usually red, sometimes blue or green).  A red color cast for example is caused by green and blue leaching out, not red getting stronger
• Low Contrasts.  We can improve the contrast to give it a more life-like look
• Dark Shadows.  We can improve the shadows by lightening the shadow up without affecting the highlights in the image
• Speckles and other dust not removed by the dust/scratch feature.
